Looks as though it's scraped over rocks but no obvious holes. Any idea what happened?

Is it my imagination, or is there an unusually high number of such incidents happening of late? Particularly with 100ft plus?

It went over the rocks between Ibiza and Formentera. It has split the hull down the middle. It was on charter at the time.

Wondered whether you would post it..... from the other photos I have seen, looks like it's located around the channel between Formentera & Ibiza, there are a lot of semi submerged rocks in that area if you don't use the cardinal marks of the main channel. P brackets & props look attached so presumably the hull was breached in a big way.

Well that's put an end to my thoughts of ever chartering our boat out !

Hull looked very clean, not much growth.

Freu Petit ? tempting short cut if you want to miss the main channel, but large semi-submerged rock there, if there's a slight chop impossible to see ... obviously not using the plotter !

There are 3 channels, Freu Grande (main channel), Freu Mediano 3m variable and Freu Chico (freu petit) very dodgy!! Personally, even with plotter, I wouldn't risk it. Probably only saving 15mins anyway

Not really a great potential for a project.

It's a very old model which you can tell from how low the stern sits in the water.

We've spoken to the charter firm, who confirmed that they hit a reef.

No dear, what you need to do round there is make sure you don't charter your clients' boats to complete idiots
