No, I'm still waiting for a response to an offer but as I was dreaming last night I thought these boats would make good '1st timer boats'. Anyone owned/chartered/read about them.?? Particularly the Comanche which seems to be inn short supply butis surely a foerunner of the Cranch Endurance /Targa 40 and that ilk of Medcruiser?

Any experiences of either?? Similar size but very different concepts. One a blatant Day Boat and the other a small cruiser?

I don't recommend the Comanche at all. They're in short supply because no one wanted them when they were new and nothing has changed. Accomodation isn't very good on them for the size and apparently they don't handle very well with the weight of the jet ski at the back. I don't know the Portofino 375 but the 400 is a good boat. Also look at Camargue 46 if your budget stretches to that, it's not that much more. The Martinique 39 and Mustique 42 are also definitely worth a look.

But surely you don't have to have a jetski in the garage , a rib is in many of them??

Interesting what you say about the 400, I 'nearly' bought one last year (see posts last year - )but REALLY DODGY dealer in Golfe Juan who still advertises in MBY major powerplant isssue. I felt the hull was underpowered with KAD42s. Struggle onto the plane.

375 is much smaller boat, IF I were looking at that (400) size of boat I would be very tempted to go Camargue size and 46/47. Perception issue but they seem so much more for the money than Martinique etc.

The Portofino 400 always struggled onto the plane because its a big lump of boat for outdrives. I believe Sunseeker had to add fixed trim planes at the transom late in the model development to try to counter this. Nice interior though. Agree with Stewart on the Comanche 40. They were never popular so few come up secondhand
The Portofino 375 was a development of the successful Martinique 36/39 series and is reputedly a v. good seaboat. More space inside than the Comanche and a much better boat, methinks
