Is this a factory option or has it been added aftermarket? It looks like a factory job, but on a 1991 boat were Sunseeker just way ahead of the trend?

it was factory fitted and it was similar to what was offered on the SS flagship of the time, the 60 Renegade

ahead of the game
I think not, Riva offered the 60 Black Corsair HT in the 80s
and the real boat that started it all was the Tecnomarine 58 Cobra HT in the end 70s

still the current trend of Hard Tops on Sport Cruisers and Yachts IMO owe it mostly if not all to Pershing and Baia

Jez. I think there were more 34 hard tops than targas from what Warren at SS told me hence the backwards facing radar arch. Agreed ahead of their time and a damn good boat. Only 2 cabin though.

ERM sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news then but I bought that boat today, yep its an absolute bargain, had a trial on Sunday went very well, survey yesterday, spoke to previous owner who could not speak any higher of the boat.
But now its mine all mine YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE
OH in case you think this is a wind up then check my 2858 out on ebay.
Never drag your heels on a bargain like this I'm just lucky I had money available.

Yeah, I was in scotland for two days and not even I am nuts enough to buy site unseen. Looks good, hope the bayliner sells quickly for you.

There is no such thing as a one off bargain either. Nice looking boat, but I suspect the next few months will turn up plenty more. What Ireally want is something about 40ft, and I have been offered a few at good money so its not so much of a bind.

hope you enjoy the toy /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cheers Jez,the other post regarding what ive just bought made interesting reading but I thought Id just lie back and say nowt!
No mad rush to out the Bayliner but when compared to to anything of a similar price I think its a bargain for someone.

I thought a bit about just giving 30k unseen on sunday night when the guy text me to say it was unsold, but I am hatching a plan with another on here and it would have been a knee jerk purchase which, while probably ok, would have buggered up things at the other end.

'Tother plan is to make my 30k stretch to a 98 Targa 39. Watch this space...

Well congrats on the purchase. Must admit I did contemplate just buying it unseen, but it's not quite a big enough jump in size. Looked fabulous in the photos /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was offered a 34 by Inwards a few months ago. She was in Christchurch. Not sure if it was the same boat. She is called "Splash" I was told I would get her for around 40K. Might be worth a call to Richard to see if its still there.

same boat - well the pictures are the same anyways. Its been around for ages at 55k and was never going to sell at that. I think it was a PX on a PX and was also on with James Dickens marine, inwards and Ancasta at one time.

Still listed with James Dickens at £47,950 as 'Such a Bargain' . Certainly was at £30k. Now if I could just find someone selling a Windy Grand Mistral 37HT who'd take 40% off the asking price.....
