sunpad / sunbrella cleaning

the sunpads on the bow on my boat are quite grubby after a fair few years of sun tan oil, rain, dust etc. Anyone got a magic recipe for cleaning this stuff?

You could try washing powder/liquid/gel and a soft brush in a circular motion, or maybe take the covers off and put 'em in the washing machine, but zip them up again first to prevent the sewn edges fraying, and don't use a hot cycle or a fast spin.

Apparently you can use a mild bleach solution with Sunbrella to get the stains out, though i've not tried it.

We recently put some grubby Sunbrella like seat covers through a washing machine and they came up a treat
