We moved Ex Libris back onto her normal mooring today. It was an eventful journey. The head of the inside island channel is still blocked by a semisubmerged branch/tree/forest (must chase the EA about it) so we had to ferry glide back out. This was rather entertaining to say the least, but we made it.
Then a lovely potter in the sunshine and it was nice to see a few boats out. We needed quite a bit of power to maintain speed heading into the stream. I backed off for the rowers and got the usual lack of thanks from the chap on the speeding umpire boat.
Turning around above the M25 bridge was eventful as there is still a lot of water coming through the weir. She normally turns on her axis but today we were caught by the stream and got a bit closer to the edge of the bridge that I would have liked!
