Anybody know how the short NB capsized alongside The Bounty? It must have happened between 7pm yesterday and approx 4pm today.

Anyone know where Byron was this weekend?
I was busy watching a certain denizen of this forum going past flying a Blue Ensign illegally. He had a Forum Burgee up but wasn't flying a Burgee to correspond with his Ensign.

I've heard that a number of people stood on it to get across to their boat, and their weight made it tip over. Had left the Bounty by this time so cannot confirm.

We went past her this evening. She seems to have an inflatable dam around her now, ready for draining.

The inflatable dam will have been put there to try and stop any pollution from diesel / oil coming out of the boat ....
It's like a mini version of the ones they use for tanker spills.
To be honest , it doesn't look too sad , a crane barge to lift the gunwale clear of the water and then a big ol' salvage pump and Robert's your fathers brother . Interior will be written off i expect , but the rest of it should be ok ?

Gor Blimey, Sir, you're a sharp one, innit, flashing past at high speed, toots me horn, and lorra hands waves from the assembled multitude - including your goodself, and as far as I remember you were at a very low level (altitude wise).
So I take my cruisieng hat off to you, Sir, not only did you spot the Blue, but rushing into the distance some 60ft away, the incorrect burgee....
I won't Bull**it and say my YC burgee was inside the forum one (NB's usually don't have cross trees from which to fly a multitude of burgees, you see). I just hoped no-one would notice.
Foiled again, Won't do it again (often) your honour....
Being so proud of my new - very high quality burgee from the redoubtable HLB (reccommended to all forumites). I took a chance.
I am at the top of Foxton locks, using an execrable connection from Vodafone (98% of population covered - in your dreams), so have not been able to issue a rejoinder earlier.
BTW a Lady at the last locks (Watford), asked me what the Tipsy Mouse represented - so I expalained about This Place; pity she wasn't on the Thames.
