B*st*rd................./forums/images/icons/frown.gif Besides they can't be any worse than this pic you said was of your wife trying to convince you to buy a boat that didn't do 30 knots.

Anything will do provided they are (a) polarised (cut down glare) and (b) polycarbonate (so that when you whack your head, the glasses don't break into sharp shards headed straight for your eye). I've a pair of Oakleys (superb lens quality but absurdly expensive). A pair of Polaroid glasses would probably do the job but without the label. Prescription sunglasses are an idea I've given up on: when your prescription changes, you're left with an expensive pair of lenses that need replaced. Contacts with regular sunglasses work better.

Best glasses I've ever had are from Harken. Bought them a year or so ago and they aren't scratched yet nor broken, nor lost. All of which are a record for me. They also came recommended in one of the saily mags comparative tests last year.

never realised stinkies were so fashion conscious as to not only wear sunglasses with a brand name, but to actually recognise other brand names!

whats wrong with the disposable taiwanese jobbies at the local market? have used a pair of those for 5 years

Now, now !! If I'd seen some polarised ones from Taiwan or anywhere else I'd give them a go. I've just asked a mate, currently in Florida, to call into Walmart for me. Unfortunately no amber shade ones in stock, nor any at $10, but I'm to try a grey tinted pair - so there!! I'd obviously have to replace them with a Brand number though, if I was to consider entering one of those fossilised establishments known as a Yacht Club./forums/images/icons/wink.gif
