Is there a reason that the Sunbury to Molesey reach just refuses to go up to a yellow board?

Loads of heavy rain today and Shepperton to Sunbury and Molesey to Teddington are both yellow.

Do you think it is likely to change before tomorrow?

Many thanks.

I think its likely just the different profile of the river between various locks. There's always a lag as water works its way downstream and where the rain actually falls also plays a significant part. The Maidenhead flow meter shows an increase from 70 cumets yesterday to 80 cumets today and there has been further heavy showers this afternoon.
My guess is you may well see yellows before the weekend is out.

We came dowstream from Bray this morning, then suddenly Yellows+ at Romney.
Quite strong too - or perhaps I'd forgotten what streams were like.

Had great difficulty getting into Shepperton Marina - took two attempts.

Perhaps it'll be flushed through by the weekend (....)
