Hello,

I want to make some covers and new dodgers and am teying to find suitable material to conduct the project, Sunbrella is name I’ve come across but is there anything else this is suitable?

I’ve bought cheap from eBay in the past and after a season it was so faded I could have called it while ( it was blue)

So longevity, strong, waterproof and uv protection are key things I’m looking for.

Anybody come across anything good?

Cheers!

I’ve bought the generic acrylic canvas from Point North fabrics. Never bothered with branded stuff, didn’t seem to be worth the extra cost. One of our projects was a new stack pack, made about 5 years ago and is showing no signs of fading or wear. Also made a set of dinghy chaps at the same time: they’ve also not faded but are well worn now but that’s due to constantly meeting quay walls and the like.
No hesitation in recommending Point North: I’ve always had brilliant service from them. Delivery is reasonable, always quick and their kit is good quality at a reasonable price.
