My 24ft Primor has a sloping caibin top that is basically gloss GRP gelcoat ... not exactly safest for 'girls' to lay out while cruising the river ...

Primor original 001.jpg

Also she has two small solar panels ... one either side of companionway hatch. They are useless there - when cockpit cover is up - they are closed to the sun.

So .... what can I do with that deck for the girls ? I don't want to paint it non-slip ...

Alternatively - putting solar panels out there on the deck ?

Thoughts please ...

Looks very steep with awkward access for sun bathing. Be OK for a couple of solar panels, if you moor it so they don't get constantly shaded.

If you had cusions made for the foredeck held in place when necessary with snaps, it won't be slippery and will be comfortable for sunbathing.
Depending on your power requirements, you could have flexible solar panels there, that are covered when using the sunbathing pads, and exposed when not.
Obviously if you need solar at the same time (understandable) you need another plan.
