Does anyone know of a supplier (apart from ASAP) for the Jeanneau style cutlass bearing as Jeanneau do not supply any more?

Has anyone used these...?

Got mine and shaft seal for 43DS from a marine supplier in Poole will try to find name.

Edit - Lake Engineering. The shaft seal was better than the volvo one - had a air tube so dont have to burp the seal after lift out.

I know but good info anyway as the Volvo seal is getting replaced also.

Other than the original Jeanneau bearings lasted 7 - 8 years each but the ASAP one has only lasted 3 - 4 years. The difference is the original Jeanneau are octagonal so more surface area on the shaft where as the ASAP are only hexagonal. The ones from Exaltouk are octagonal so giving them a try. Some good comments about them on the Jeanneau FB page.
Price is around the same.

My answer was plural " I got mine (by inference the cutless bearing) and the shaft seal from ....

I would not expect to replace cutless bearing on it's own.

Do you always jump down peoples throats so fast?

i got my Jeanneau sundream 2 years ago, theres no movement on the cutless, would people reccomend i replace it anyway which is a hassle?

Be careful over sizes. A lot of Jeanneau boats used mixed metric/imperial sizes. Those are all metric. As an example of what I mean, my 45.2 cutless bearing is 30mm bore by 1.75 inch outside diameter.
