Time / available holiday days means our upstream cruising this year will not get us further upstream than our earlier trip which turned round at Caversham. Lovely to see current pictures of the river further upstream.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing, esp as I've not been past Sonning. What happened to the rib? Looks like its getting squashed in the lock!!!

the rib is the 'tender' for the The African Queen, who's skippers boat handling skills are always a pleasure to watch (from a safe distance). It was trailing behind his barge when he entered the lock and he didn't notice that it wasn't fitting in the lock before the doors started to close.
