I think the trip seems reasonible in terms of time. Cruising at 25k
Dartmouth Trebeurden 4hrs stay 2 nights
Treb Camaret 3hrs stay 1 night
Cam Benodet 2hrs stay 3 nights
Ben Pornic 4hrs stay 4 nights
Pornic La Foret 4hrs stay 2 nights
For Arberwrach 4hrs stay 1 night
Arb Dartmouth 5hrs

Do you really think this is too arduous; if so may be I ought to re think.

think you'll have more luck posting this on the mobo forum, most of us here wouldn't have a clue except perhaps to gulp at the cost of all that fuel/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I normally cruise 600 miles a season (next year will be more) which is about £1600 in fuel. How much do a set of sails cost for a 50ft yacht and how long do they last? I wonder how close the annual cost is for each form of boating?

I would expect a well built set of sails for a 50 footer to cost about 5-6k... but in miliage terms, they could last over 20k miles..

There are alot of variables which had been done quite a few times on here, but all in all, sailing costs less in running costs, but ooodles more in time.

The trip as planned wouldn't seem at all arduous. It does however seem rather a long way to go though to see very little of the area.

Surely fuel is equivalent to wind (free) and sails to engine (k bucks)
