Finally, a nice warm day with a good breeze and with time to go sailing. Boat all sorted and shiny courtesy of Ben at Fox's.
Cracking sail today with lots to see.
Saw the Catalina fly right over me at Landguard, saw MTB102 growl it's way down the river, saw Mermaid under full sail, and CliveG on Sirenia blasting his way back to the Deben.
And now a couple of pics :)

Great to be out for a sail at last. Especially good to be out when someone has a camera!!
We also took a couple....

We actually managed to sail from the Orwell Bridge to just after Levington and then turned back. Had to assist with the engine in the lee of the trees near pin Mill and eventually got the sails down before Woolverstone. All in all a good amount of breeze (Mermaid needs a fair bit to get going). Nearly kept up with Habebty too.......

Left Calais at 1130 yesterday, good reach to off North Foreland when wind eased and went more SEly. Engine bit dodgy (drank l of oil in 5 hours) so trying to minimise donk time. Finally got into Brightlingsea at 0130. Managed to visit 3 countries (other than UK) during my little trip - B'sea - Orford - Breskens - Ostend - Calais - B'sea. Would have stayed away a few more days if not for the engine problem. Nice to have a couple of warm days as first few where brass monkeys!
