With a successful season launch, (business wise), and after making up for far too much time off last year, I have at last found a couple of hours to review and edit some video of our 2014 cruise.

The trip was just the best, happy days for our small family and memories to last a lifetime.

We set off from Falmouth with a berth booked in La Rochelle, (again, thanks to Jrudge for his advice), and made the harbour entrance three days later; having pit stopped at Benodet, Haliguen & Les Sables.

After a relaxing fortnight we made the return to Falmouth, taking four weeks...we were in no hurry! Highlights, (other than the boat), would be Pornichet, a real blast from the past, and Belle Ile which is just delightful.

Looking back at the, (hours), of vt brought it all back and somehow next summer don’t feel too far away!

Enjoy the ‘Clef

Peace.

Oh, and I know…you shouldn’t really tow a donut from the back of a 50’ boat, won’t happen again :)

Nice one, living the dream :)

You've inspired me to reach further afield this year, unfortunately (or not?!) we're busy with charter work during the summer months.

hope the kids are grateful... in my early teens (a whole 15 odd years ago), I was glad to be out on my fathers 17 footer!

I think that the boat is appreciated, it certainly will be this year as Ann and I Will be on it most of the Summer leaving our 17 old boy in charge of the house...I'm sure he and his friends will look after it well!
Hope the charter business is going well?

Great video, thanks for taking the time to post.

Definite ambition of mine to take my boat in to La Rochelle.

We spent 2 weeks in La Rochelle a few years back, it's a great place to be based for a while, lots to do and see, and very convenient for getting to other places.

Glad to hear that - otherwise i'd offer for you to adopt us and take us on epic trips :D

I'm sure your son also won't complain too much about having to house sit... just make sure you leave plenty of money for.... cleaning products and food ;)

The charter is great fun I must admit. We are pleasantly surprised with our bookings so far for 2015... people are booking up to 6 months in advance! Check it out here: www.corribcharter.com

Lovely video. Brings back happy memories. The first time we went under the le rochelle bridge it was at 38 kts celebrating like we had just won the round the world race. !

Afraid we were only able to muster up around 28knts Jeremy :(
You are absolutely right, passing under the bridge is an experience, we look forward to making a return, one way trip, sometime soon :)

Great video. Only ever sailed there and the bridge is slightly nerve racking cause even though the charts say you have loads of clearance, it seems to be awfully close.

If you time it right nearly all the ports have musical festivals in July. One of my favourite cruising areas.

Right!
Have to say though, I was far more worried cycling across it...very long, very high and very low railings!
