Sumlog impellor replacement - How???

My sumlog impellor had lost one of it's blades somehow, so I ordered a new one.

Unfortunetly I can't see how to get off the old one. There appears to be a metal fitting onto which the old impellor is screwed. This has two flat sides. However to use this I would guess that you would need a spanner approx 1mm thick. This is a tool that I do not posess.

If anyone has replaced their own impellor(baby white propellor) can they please help me????? Is there some simple way of getting the old one off????

Mine, you just knocked the pin out and then inserted the new impellor and knocked the pin back in. Yours may be different, is it the little paddle wheel thingy?

I made my own "tool", out of a piece of sheet metal (aluminium or stainless steel, or whatever you can find).
Hold the "metal fitting onto which the old impellor is screwed", and gently remove the old impellor.
It's surprisingly easy! If not, a little WD40 will help.

I checked my "special tool" today.
It's cut into .8 mm stainless steel sheet. But 1 mm. or 1/32'' or even 3/64'' or 5/128'' will do. ;-)
Cut a slot 14 mm. wide, about 20 mm. long. That's metric, and the 14 mm. are important.
That's it!

I guess you put all this small bits down into the locker somewhere under the engine.
