Suitable topside paints ?

The cockpit of my Hunter has a moulded surface on it to grip your soles.
It's in the form of little pyramids.

The tops of these are now wearing off and exposing a black substrate.

I'm looking to use a suitable paint to recover them.

The paint , of course , needs to match the current white , be hard wearing , airdrying and be suitable for application via a primer or not.

Looking at International Toplac ?

What would forumites recommend or have had good results with ?

I have to admit I'm a bit confused with all the 1 pot 2 pot epoxy stuff you read about in the forum and elsewhere.

Any brand of marine two pack epoxy paint will do, if its a colour match! Two pack paint comes in two tins, hence the name! One of them is the paint, and the other is a catalyst. You mix them together in the proportions mentioned on the tin, and the catalyst will 'cure' the paint and make it go off and hard!

Single pack paint can be used, but i would definetly recommend two pack for topsides, as it is much tougher and harder wearing. I personally used Epifanes two pack red on the top sides of my classic speed boat, and it came up a treat! The threads below!

You need two pack polyurethane, not epoxy.

Cockpit sole and "topsides" are two different applications. Painting your cockpit sole with gloss paint (either one or two pack) will make it slippery. Perhaps you need to look at dedicated non slip coatings, such as deck paint, granules to mix with ordinary paint or Kiwigrip.
