Have you used this stuff?

I bought some to see what the fuss was about. I think I bought it from cpc farnell.

It took the girl 15 years to get it from her head and lab to market and fair play, she built a good team and got it to market, but I find it darn expensive for such tiny amounts and going onto youtube shows one how to make a substitute that is almost as good from flour and silicone sealer; I have done it and use the substitute if it suits.

I have a few packets left in the fridge that I need to use before the expiry date (yup, it even has one).

I am guessing that not many people have used it, or am I wrong?

I've seen it, thought it too expensive. Thanks for the YouTube tip, although I imagine better fillers than flour could be used.

I wish they would drop the price and then I would use it a lot more.

Regarding filler, indeed, I would use some of my micro balloons, next time.

I only used flour because it was my first attempt at making the stuff and did not want to waste micro balloons. The flour and silicon sealer stuff I made has lasted 2 years and continues to do its job though (protect a camera - yeah I am more of a function over form type of chap - people may laugh at my camera, but it has lasted longer than many other identical cameras owing to the weird protection I've applied to it).
