Suggestions for day cruises from Falmouth please

We are trailering down to Falmouth next week and will be staying in Premiers Falmouth Marina.
Just wondered if there were any sugestions for day trips by boat whilst we are there, especially anchorages and places with pub nearby.
We will have a dinghy to use if necessary to get ashore.
Boats a 25ft sportscruiser.

Pandora 's is a great pub just above mylor bridge that have a pontoon . It dries out and somebody much more knowledgeable than me will be able to advise on access either side of high tide but would be a must for me hope you enjoy it !

Ooh, one that I can help with :)

So, the Helford River is a must, come out past Black Rock, turn right and take the first estuary on the right. It's a 30 minute hop from mouth to mouth. Go down the river until you have the yacht club on your left and Helford passage in your right; pick up a green bouy and have a lovely day, enjoying luch at either the shipwrights or ferryboat inn. We would usually prefer to anchor off Trebah beach and pop up to the beach for ice cream.

Pandora is great, 2 +\- high tide I reckon. Your boat will fin on their pontoon.

You can get down the Truro river just befor malpas and take a pontoon at maggotty bank, from here it's a 15 min tender trip to Truro, land at the always open river gate next to the park and have lunch in the Trennack Arms, hardly any boaters do this but it's great fun.

You've got the beautiful st mawes just over the way, plenty of visitor bouys or pick an anchorage at Peace; probs the best of the lot. Have lunch or dinner with the Polizzis at the Tresanton or grab fish and chips from the front.

Fowey is a longer, (20 miles east) hop but try to put it on your itinerary. Don't do it in an easterly and watch for pots as you turn past St Anthony light house.

Oh and the marina bar is fine at PM, if you have a chance, go to the Cove Restaurant in Maenporth, lovely and say hi to Annette from Nigel and Ann

ps, I forgot Mylor marina, a great run in any tide from Falmouth, two great restaurants, 1 good cafe and a lovely atmosphere, they'll charge a fiver for a lunch stop over but don't get your fuel their unless you have to, if you are a petrol boat that might be your only option other than the forecourt.

I am going down the week after, being cheeky could you let us know what's it's like at the pitfalls, also I'm staying at the same marina might as well try to use some of my 42 nights

As currently at Falmouth , thanks for your comprehensive Wright up, we shall hopefully try some of your segestions if and when the weather allows ?
 
Nothing to add to the comprehensive day-trip/anchorage recommendations... we are not locals, but very much enjoyed our visit last year. I would add a restaurant recommendation however. We absolutely loved the seafood, crab, and shellfish at The Wheelhouse in Falmouth. Not easy to get a table, and its cash only!... but well worth a visit if shellfish is your thing. The atmosphere was as good as the food.
Probably my favourite restaurant visit of 2015.... and I went to a few!!
