With boats costing as much as houses these days does the panel agree it would be an excellent idea for the Chancellor of the Exchequer to charge a 1% 'Stamp Duty' on every sale. This would raise a great deal of revenue which would help pay for the extra Civil Servants needed to operate the scheme.

Re: Keep taking the pills

The men in the white coats will be there soon.

And so we celebrate the passing of Byron's better side and look foreward to experiencing life in a brave new world where a politically correct Byron rules with a rod of feathers.

Pop down the garden to the boat. Chuck in a few gallons of the red stuff and get yourself afloat. If the political aspirations don't dissapear within a few hours get Eileen to give your ass a good kicking to stir up the old grey matter.

Pkoes head out of shell hole....

Scrap red diesel for leisure boats! Hides inside flame proof underwear and cowers..

Havoc, fire, confusion, and mis-trust, yes my work here is done...

Why not have a lock tax say £5 to pass through each way, or a tax on the number of miles traveled, plus remove red diesel.

And then put a tax on people who own boats - they clearly have far too much money to spare !!!

Petrol head!

And ban petrol from marinas, oh and just in case, double the tax on LPG!!!!!

There, job done, we can all become raggies.

Re: Petrol head!

Petrol seems to have been pretty much banned from some already.

Nowhere in Falmouth has petrol on the quay any more, you have to go round to Mylor.

Until you find this out, you have to get a cab to the nearest garage as the only one near the water has been reincarnated as a laserquest arcade.

Pain in the ARSE.
