Hi there ,my stuffing box is turning with the propshaft is that normal?.Im new to boats so any help is great help thanks

NO dont use the engine untill sorted.
assume you have the conventional set-up with a rubber hose with the stuffing box held in place with hose clips. these need to be tight & the gland nut on the stuffing box slackened off to allow the shaft to be turned by hand a slight drip is ok ( 1 drip every 2 or 3 mins when under way ) mine doesnt drip much but the shaft is easy to turn by hand when cold & the stuffing box doesnt get hot in use underway

depends if its a shaft seal, some are attached to the shaft and do rotate against another surface to give the seal.
