Stuff worth doing while mast is down

The simple answer is - evrything you ever dreamed of doing . Treat everything as though you were building a new mast, take all the sheaves out (clean , grease and replace them), renew all the wiring, strip and check all the fittings...

With reference also to a thread above regarding the slapping of cables within the mast, ensure that cable ties and or other sound dampening /prevention material like expanded polystyrene is in place - before raising the mast!
