I think it is quite wonderful that once again our shores have been blessed by the return of Seahorses, so on the weekend as it was a bit windy we got in the car and drove down to Studland Bay. Not sure what I was quite expecting to see, however we were delighted when this little chap came and said hello. Couldn't believe how close it came as they are notoriously shy. Managed to get a few good snaps before it "galloped" off....

presumably, the fence behind it is the no anchoring zone. I didn't realise they'd put in place already. How do the seahorses get out, or is penning them up like that part of the conservation plan?

I think its perfectly obvious.... the no anchor zone is obviously just for boats! The seahorses can simply swim over the top!
