Was the no anchor zone being observed?
Lucky you turned up in the little boat as the current situation for launching boats 17ft and longer is getting dire, the slip you used being the only option.

It looks great. Much better than squeezing onto a beach with a cazillion other folk. It's busy but doesn't look uncomfortably so.

It would seem that a lot of the boats are trying to anchor to the North of the no anchoring zone. Compared with previous years I wouldn't call that busy.

So that is news to me. Where is the no anchoring zone. I was only in a small rib and also used a bag full of sand as the anchor weight.nis it about the sea grass

So now I looked it up and it looks like it is a voluntary zone to protect sea grass etc……… Mmmmmm.

I had no clue and just found a map. And to answer the question there were many boats not volunteering to not anchor there

It is a little odd to me cos the number of swimmers etc off the beach could I think cause as much damage. Perhaps we should stop all human activity in favour of all else ?
