There is another way, if the prop hub has enough metal drill and tap two holes opposite each other, then get a substantial square section bar across the back, with two or three holes (centre if you use a threaded bar to push against shaft and one either side for threaded bars from prop hub), screw two threaded bars into the tapped holes in prop and slide bar over these. You now have a controlled jack that will not slip or damage the prop as hooked pullers can. Add some heat but refrain from hammers, that's what I was taught. Same advice to leave nut on!

It came off easily with the puller and heat from a cheap brazing torch.The puller was useful as the prop didn't want to come off the key and I had to keep cranking the puller.
