I wondered when someone would notice.
Here in the Bay of St Malo the increased frequency of winds topping 6 has been noticeable.

I suppose it’s not really that surprising: if the atmosphere is getting warmer, there’s more energy and more thermal activity which is how winds are formed in the first place

Well it's unseasonably calm and b****y cold here in Central Scotland, and has been for quite a while.

A bit like forecasting more than a week ahead. (science fiction - rather than science).


In posting I was thinking of the more mundane:

Expect to use the 3rd reef more often (and even more mundane) - ensure you have the 3rd reefing point in the first place.

Our 3rd reef was an option (which we took) and already use it more often than I had thought.
