Strong velcro

I’ve had hit n miss results in the past buying rolls of velcro, not with the velcro itself but with the adhesive backing being less strong so it ends up coming off rather than the velcro hooks and loops seperating.
I want to try velcroing up my insulation to the deckhead rather than glueing it. The idea being it is easily removable for adding fittings to the deck, but mainly because I still have a hatch garage and doghouse to bolt down to the deck, and don’t intend doing that till April. I want the saloon interior finished this week though, so I need the insulation to be removed again easily. If it turns out to be useless and falling down I can always glue it properly at that point.
So, anyone got any links to or recommended sources of velcro in rolls with a nice strong backing adhesive. Its going onto bare fg.

I have used this for a top cover on our boat this winter. It has done well and the tape has not shown any signs of parting company with boat or cover.
Surfaces must be clean and dry. I used acetone to make sure

Don't use Velcro, use 3M dual lock, this stuff would hold the engine in (well, almost)

I use it in many ways on the boat,from holding down teak seating slats in cockpit as well as having a patch on back of phone and bluetooth speaker that can be mounted in various places above and below, very useful stuff

I’ve found the same issue as the OP with this brand, the adhesive backing isn’t reliable if the substrate is less than perfect.
Sometimes it falls apart under it’s own weight, sometimes it holds until you try parting the hook and loops. Any heat also softens the adhesive.

Another vote for 3M,
Make sure the surface is clean and dust free. Place tape in position, put a significant weight on for several hours.. I actually leave it overnight..
I've had the 3M adhesive pull the surface off plywood.. ( admittedly from the edge of the ply)

I ordered a couple of rolls of 3m dual lock, which I know is great as it has down the wee boats solarpanel for years with just 6 small rectangles. I was rather surprised that the backing adhesive wouldn’t stick to the deckhead, even after acetoning. ( raw fg) so have ordered some superglue to dab on the back of the pads, hooefully that will do the trick.

I was in local car accessories shop and mentioned having trouble sticking stuff down .. even though I'd used Acetone and then tried with Ethanol ... he went to a shelf and gave me a tin of Silicon Remover ... designed specially to remove all traces of stuff not only Silicon.

I haven't tried it yet - but guy swore by it ...

It's probably because the surface is rough ( raw fibreglass ) adhesives tend to like smooth surfaces with plenty of surface area to bond to.

Get the Velcro without the adhesive and bond it to the surface using CT1. !00% reliable.

So I have to take that back, went down today to superglue them on, thought I’ll try once more and voila, stuck like shit. When I degreased ir, I had left my acetone at home soused those i pregnated blue cloths, big wipes or something. It obviously takes a lot longer than acetone to evaporate and I simply hadn’t waited long enough.
My bad.
