Re: Strictly for non-English \'butters...

Music to me ears, thank you! I heard it in an Italian bar with half-a-dozen Oz supporters, and it wasn't the same. When I stepped out in the street, beaming, I had a bit of a double-take seeing all those oblivious people - how could they not know what had just happened?!!

Re: I notice the Antipodeans...

No more of this pussy rugby stuff for us. He man stuff like rowing the Atlantic is now our game - well it is now that a couple of NZ'rs have won it, would have to have thought of something else to claim to be good at otherwise! We are all out practising now for the next one - enormous demand for oars over here now and we are all pulling the engines out of our yachts.

Of course the poor old Australians are still trying to find something else to win - especially seeing they know within a month or so a NZ boat (Zana) will have won the Sydney-Hobart.

I will thank you Ken!

My son copied and paste this for me. You havbe given me something that I hope to remember for the rest of my life. As well Robbo's excellent commentary it was fanstastic listening to Rob Andrews screaming in the background.

Regards.

Peter.

Re: I notice the Antipodeans...

We win so many world titles, cups etc it is hard to keep track of. I guess we can lend the Poms the Web Ellis for 4 years.

That Davis Cup is huge - needed to clear out some room for it anyway! (BTW, Australia has won it 22 times since 1937 to the Poms 0).

Did you see their new wine...

Cuvee Telstra Whine, made from pure sour grapes?

I just hope we would have been as charitable in defeat as they were, and that the referee has not had too much difficulty getting used to his white cane.

Not half as charitable as us - we let them through to enable you to beat them! Thought we would give you a turn at doing so.

However, I have to say that they are a really nice bunch. They have had me rolling around on the floor in uncontrolled laughter and unrestrained pure admiration by so far managing to detain our social engineering type prime minister, who knows what is good for the rest of the world, on the airport apron stuck in a plane for half a day and then just recently random searching her at the border. Perhaps they can introduce her to a few "Noah's arks" at Bondi Beach next time.

A very democratic garment. It supports the right, it supports the left and avoids violent swings...
