Stress of rigging a hammock under the spinaker pole

Is there any reason not to do this on my 26 ft Folksong?
Including swinging it out to the side (when the weather is nice obviously)
I tried it yesterday and it requires some faith in the knots but just wondered about bending the mast or the spinaker pole.

The pole will just be under compression as you will be hanging from a halliard effectively on a spreader. So if the halliard is OK so will you be.
Hint - you only need to be inches above the deck, not swinging about up in the air - it makes it safer to get in and out of, and use cushions in the net.
You will of course have a downhaul for stability.

Gosh if you have one of those on you folksong, I can't think of any reason at all.
