We have a Raymarine c90w plotter which had developed an odd problem with the display over the last two seasons.
- On switching on, the display often (increasingly often) starts too large, so that not all the starting logo, or all the chart, appear on the screen.
- Only the top left quarter seems to be visible.
- The starting logo is normal brightness, but the subsequent chart display is quite dim (see photos).
- The cursor movement and buttons all work normally but the device is impossible to use in practice.
- It used to happen intermittently, being cured by powering down and restarting. Now it takes many restarts (the record is 30) before the display starts normally.
