Straight through exhaust

Had a 37 foot Aquafibre hull with pair of Perkins M125 with straight through exhausts .
Sounded amazing for the first 20 mins and then became a annoying drone.
Bought a couple of generic clone waterlocks with suitable inlet/ outlet sizes to suit existing hoses.
Made sure that location of water locks would not cause problems with either cooling exhaust water or external water, cut hoses with a grinder and dropped water locks in. Took longer to clean up exhaust hose dust from grinding than to fit silencers.
Fortunately loads of space in the lazerrette.
Pretty remarkable reduction in noise from such a inexpensive and simple fix.
