STP Palma

Hi all,
Has anybody any expreience with STP in Palma. Want to arrange a lift out there but not sure if I will come across any issues regarding working in the yard or working on the boat such as polishing and antifouling etc etc. I have the Balearic port permissions but are they going to sting me with special insurances etc etc.

Has anybody liftd here or worked in this yard??

Boats a pred 92s 97 ton all up

Blimey Gary you'll need an army to polish Mr bluesky!!
Doesn't Mahon have the facilities to lift out a pred 92?

No max they could get out here would be a 72 at a push cranes de rated. As far as polishing I recon it will take about a week to do the hull. I will do the superstructure whilst on the berth probably about another week. two of ous with SWIMBO on coffee duty.

Hello.

I was working in STP yesterday and nobody stopped me from working or asked me for any papers ect they seem happy as long as you pay for your parking. But if you are polishing the hull and working at height they are pretty hot on their helth and safety.

Have you tried Mundimar in Puerto Portals I believe they can lift that size boat and are very helpfull in the yard. The only thing you can't do there is the antifouling, they want to do that.

You'll have arms like Mr. Universe by the time you finish her...... thats a big chunk of boat!

Thanks Tom, planning to book in this week. think I will go with STP as definatly want to do the antifouling myself.
