Stowe Navigator 1 electrical help

Hi, I grew up with these and always liked them and now mine has blown a thingy (see photo). Anyone out there know what this is o have a circuit diagram. I know this may not be the only thing and if its blown it could be for a reason but electronics can fail and if its just this I will replace it. If I can find out what it is??? It has 3 legs and the front has blown off so it basically exploded. so I am thinking capacitor???

Looks more like a small transistor to me, esp. with 3 legs. To identify, can you see any letters or numbers on the body?
Seems to have gone in a fairly big way!

Hi yes of course that would make sense, no number on it. it has gone with a pop the front blew off one of the legs had gone so I am thinking that may have caused it, but that's a stab in the dark guess.
