Hi folks,

The cups of our anemometer unit are not rotating. I have removed the unit and am trying to disassemble it for servicing or replacement of the bearings.I would appreciate advice on how the unit cames apart. So far I have removed the lubrication nipple on the side of the unit.

Many thanks

Robert

You are more than halfway there. As I recall, removing the lubrication nipple allows the whole rotating assembly to be pulled out of the main casing.

If you've never removed it before, it will be a bit 'sticky' and you may have to lever it (carefully) to prise it apart. It will come out though, so stick at it!

Yes undo the lubricating screw and pull it all out, it may give suddenly, so take care and take notes of how it goes back. I did mine 2 years ago and it is still spinning.
