Stour and Orwell - best anchorages?

I don't think the outer mooring trot is necessarily going to be any better or worse than the inner ones - possibly laid for larger boats, but consequently harder and more expensive to lift and check.
 
Of course, if anyone does accidentally damage a mooring, I'd be happy to pass on their details to the moorings master to ensure the owner doesn't end up out of pocket over resetting it!

It was an OGA meet in the eighties. I didn’t damage it; having arrived near low water, I took a look at the riser chain ... and poodled off to anchor away from the moorings.

I wasn't going to ask, but assumed you would do the right thing! Sadly it's not always the case, leading to uprooted and lost sinkers and other aggro.
