I'm looking for a place to store my Predator 72 on the hard close to Gib. Somewhere safe and reasonably priced would be ideal. No point leaving her in the water as she isn't being used.

Any suggestions?

Nautorous is the guy to go to in Gib. Send him a pm, he works way too hard and needs boaty destractions every now and then ;)

That is right, spent far too long onthe beach yesterday and now feeling tired!

Sotogrande is the obvious option as they have the space and Security but it will not be the cheapest.

La Duquesa: Clive will help as not sure the lift is big enough (and Space more Limited)

Marina Smir: In Morocco but should be OK, lift and space OK.

Alcaidesa Marina: Next to Gib and very cheap but will have to be left in the water as lift out not yet operational (or built!)

No doubt Clive will have more info as I am only used to 15m lift outs!

Cheers

Paul

You could try the new marina at La Linea, very empty when I passed thru in May so may do deals for long term hard.

Yep,

That is the Alcaidesa Marina I mean (In La Linea) Hard Standing currently being built so probably be the New year before open. However Cheap with good secuirty and Pontoons for mooring. 25m Berth is €40 a day high season and €25 a day low season but they will do longer deals (up to 20% off)

Soto has a 200 Ton Lift:
www.puertosotogrande.com

Estepona has a 75 Ton Hoist:
www.marinasmediterraneo.com

Amerimar has a 60 Ton and 100 Ton hoist and plenty of space (though only 3m Depth at beths)
www.almerimarpuerto.com

Marina Smir (Morocco) has a 150 Ton Hoist and space

Hope that helps,

you could also try Estepona. My pal wintered there last year and it was quite reasonable (Manhattan 64) In fact he brought the boat from Mallorca.

It is a working fish harbour so would suggest you need boat wshed off once a week or so.

Spanish speaking yard but good facility.

Happy to make a call for you if you let me know your requirement.

Vis a vis other options.

Sotogrande, big boat yard but they are a little difficult to deal with. Once quoted a week for some work, ended up 4 weeks. they claimed weather was poor (load of B********)

LA Duquesa, small harbor, I think you would struggle with your size, I once took a Fleming 53 there and it was tight.

Smir, well it is Morroco you might not have a boat to go back to! Kidding a little but I dont know too many people that leave there boats there for long periods.

Puerto Banus, will be a struggle as limited on size, we used to take out Princess V70's but to do this you couldnt have fenders down going into the travel hoist, no fun in any wind.

Marbella Pesquera is run by Marina Marbella and they dont take out any boats other than their own usually.

Cabo Pino, Nothing

Fuengirola, Not suitable

Malaga, nothing

So in short my recommend would be Estepona. Dont let the wash down put you off as with most boat yards on the CDS you will need regular wash offs due to heavy Levante winds during the winter.

PM me if you want..
