Got out yesterday for a trip. First port was Stonefield Castle about 2nm north of Tarbert at the entrance to Loch Fyne. I hadn't been there for a few years. Apart from the fantastic location and views, the staff, service and food was 1st class. Highly recommended if you like seafood. The hotel has 4 moorings with junks making it quite easy to visit by boat.
We then ventured over to Portavadie; excellent facility.
Kames Bay Hotel (Kyles of Bute) didn't disappoint either.
Final port was Rothesay where we were pounced upon when completing berthing by the harbour person who wanted £18!!!. We agreed on £6 as we intended only staying an hour or so......
