On Thursday of this week, the 11th of May, we discovered that our Orkney 520 boat had been stolen. The boat has no name on it, a blue bottom, no electronics on it (we still have them), a 25hp yamaha engine, and one of the brackets, where the high frequency radio is attached is broken. further, it has two, blue, swivel seats. If you see this boat, could you PLEASE e-mail me. there is a £500 pound reward for info leading to its recovery. thankyou.

Boat recovered on Tuesday 13th (unlucky for the "seller") in Hartlepool. I had alerted the person I had bought the boat from about the theft and the "seller" tried to sell it back to him. Police were called in and culprit aprehended. The HIN number had been replaced with one from another 520. Always make sure that the hull numbers and Hin numbers match and check with boatfax.com that it is not stolen before you buy. The "seller" on this occasion was clearly a crook and told a pack of lies. If an innocent party had been duped into buying the boat and then lost it when it was recovered, there would have been two victims of the crime.
