Stolen fuel on river Frome

Can you buy locking fuel caps as a number of boats on my river have been siphoned out or would it be an idea to push some gauze or galvanised chicken wire down the filler pipe so it stopes them getting a pipe down there, any ideas

Vetus make an anti theft device that can be fitted in the filler hose. Called "Fuelsafe" qv

If I remember right it fits over exsisting filler.
