Stockholm Archipelago Charter

Slight drift, but if you get the chance to visit Stockholm itself grab it with both hands!
Especially Wasa-big cousin of Mary Rose. Also one of the best dining I've ever had at Fem Sma Hus (Five Small Houses). Won't be cheap but you'll not forget it!

To return to the original thread, I have never chartered with Nautilus but know nearly a dozen people who have (Greece, Croatia and BVIs) and all of them have been very pleased with both the vessels and help with all the travel arrangements.

http://www.yr.no/ is the Norwegian met office site, if you select english language parts of the site is translated.
The "sea and coast" can give ocean forecasts but not for the Baltic (but Skagerak, Kategatt, North Sea, Norwegian Sea, and parts of North Atlantic)

The Swedish version of RNLI called SSRS (http://www.sjoraddning.se/ine-english/) have a weather service based on data from the same source with an hour by hour view.

you can also download app's showing the same data

Winds can change during the day because of the sea breeze / land breeze effects, most often with stable High pressure periods.

Aware of who the provider is. This is the location I used; found it to be v accurate forecast and it's definitely in the Baltic

My daughter goes to Stockholm on business and to see relatives. She says the best deal is Norwegian Air from Gatwick to Arlanda.

She's right for soft southerners who live close to Gatwick. Good timetable from Norwegian and Arlanda is definitely the best airport if you're travelling to the Stockholm area, as the land transport links into the city are so good.

From the Midlands, usually I travel SAS from Brum to Arlanda, changing at Copenhagen. That way I don't need a visa for entry into the Home Counties or get tangled up in the M25.

Dear Mark
I would be very interested to buy your copy of the Arholma pilot if it's still available. I could pick it up on Saturday week, or would happily compensate you if you would post it to me. Thanks David N

Sorry, I'm afraid I beat you to it. Worth getting though if you can find a copy

Mark: do you still have that book? If so I'd be happy to send you a prepaid envelope for you to mail it to me? I'm in California so can't really nip down to Chichester!
thanks
Neil

Malcp: did you ever get hold of a copy of Hassler's book? If so, from where? I'll be there for eight weeks this summer and would love a copy of that book.

Fair winds to you...
