You probably already know this but Mike Batt is Dick's Brother and he wrote the Wombles song among others - saw him with Denis Le Corriere on the Voice of Dr Hook tour a year or two back.

Yup, have seen a pic of Dick in a Wombles outfit.
He was based in High Wycombe and really convenient to us but has now moved to Bosham, darn it. Still Wycombe's loss is Chichester's gain. He made a fantastic suit of Merlin sails for me for river sailing, they transformed the boat. As they say, 'Boat speed makes you a tactical genius...!

Backing jib
Backing jib may be caused by vertical downwards motion from falling off the top of that wave. There's not a lot to prevent the boat getting blown sideways as well at the moment the photo was taken.
