Stinkpots into Room 101

Michael Grade on Room 101 got motor cruisers into Room 101. Grade is clearly a keen sailor and gave a great rant about how useless, smelly and inconsiderate these powerboats are.
Audience liked it and they got the thumbs down.
Smug bastard but totally forgiven.

MG not a keen sailor

He sold his boat for other reasons, I strongly suspect, but conveniently blamed the stinkies, itmakes good TV, and he'd know about that. He was seen recently at a caribbean sunsasil club holiday with newish 20's wife and small child. Neither he not wife went near any sailboats on the beach for the whole week, despite free and availbale sailboats of all types and steady f4 in protected waters, altho others in their party (his older kids, I'm guessing) did sail. Fraid that it seems that now with younger wife who cares more about football than sailing, sailing has taken a back seat. May also have something to do with Grade also clearly reaching the wrong side of sixteen stone.

May just be the young wife - after all, if you can get the kids to sod off and sail for an hour or two - who knows what opportunities might arise in a sunkissed caribbean hotel bedroom

Yes, slumped at the side of the pool all day. If he carried on as you imagine, he'd be in much better shape. He didn't help any of the maids with carrying the binliners either, which also helps to keep in shape, I imagine, altho the fumes can cause delerium.

Normally it's me that does the thinly veiled references and swmbo who misses the jibe completely. So.... we're ideally matched, C! What a horrible thought. But i understand that the internet is an ideal place to find tru love. Mind you, there are also some right nutters.

I also understand that they are both mad on footie, charlton athletic to be precise. So they're even more odd. Also the footie is on saturdays, so giving extra reason to ditch boat. And v small child, giving yet another. Also, there may be some nutcases in the yacht clubs down there (most of present compnay excepted) . Certainly sounds like it...
