Apparently Stingo has been getting pissed for the last few days in an Irish bar and is now heading off in a NW direction to cross Biscay, whats the betting on him getting a NW passage under his belt?

One minute he's based in Brighton about to depart on a world trip, now he's somewhere near biscay doing a delvery. Where is he, and where headed?

but they are intending to stop off in france

he is somwhere up the coast about 30 miles from the North spanish port of Bayonne
well he was
he is now heading up into Biscay
or possibly west side of biscay
again he was not sure

Until 5am this morning he was in an Irish Bar in a Spanish town, he's headed north to Portosin and then thinks he's heading to Brest.
I've a sneaky feeling that the town was Valencia and the foreign language was Erse and they had unknowingly crossed Biscay in a drunken stupor a couple of day's ago ... hope they've got a lot of food on board ..

I would forget the world bit. His maiden trip was from Haslar to Brighton in a F0 but he was a bit worried about the stability (of himself and the boat) thus made his girlfriend (not the blow up one) keep her head well down for the trip.

I think he changed girlfriends after that and went back to his old flame that he can deflate and store in a cupboard.

Bit rough on poor old Stingo are you not? OK he's maybe not an oil painting but he is an experienced sailor and knows how to sink a pint or six. He's a good guy .. and he's not here to stand up for himself ...

altho i thought jimi's description of stingo as 'no oil painting' is maybe a tad generous

First thing in the morning i heard he looks like Gladstone Small's ugly white brother (one for the cricket fans that one)

Naaa......Stingo and I have propped up the bar at the Castle and spoofed for rounds more times than I can remember. I agree he's a good guy and he knows I am only taking the *iss.

He's still ugly though

17:45 today, Stingo texted me to say he was off Finisterre with the wind right on the nose. Goodness only knows who was sitting on his face!

Stingo has now crossed Biscay .. motored all the way in extremely light headwinds "Seen Windermere rougher" was the quote.
