Hi guys,

We are still trying to follow the path of the 75 foot motor sailor Lady Domina. The 75 foot home-made motor sailor left St. Martin on March 31 supposedly heading to the Azores. On april 4 she cleared out of Puerto Rico. No one has seen her since.

marigot bay ii.jpgIMG_7296.jpgmarigot bay ii.jpgIMG_7296.jpgI am looking for anyone who knew the sailors and maybe talked to them, or who knew the boat. I am also looking for photos, videos, personal stories.

You can PM me, or send to paynterlawfirm@gmail.com.

I am trying to keep a running log of the details, at http://sailingsavoirfaire.blogspot.com/2013/06/tim-paynter-and-willie-rouge-talked.html

Hey, great to join all of you~!

it sounds as if you are some form of legal eagle with an interest in this matter. Before people start sending you details, can you indicate whether you are associated with

The use of a gmail account appears slightly less than professional.....

What's going on ? Is this more than a missing yacht ?

You pose a great question. I have to admire your research. While literally my whole family is involved with law, I had no idea about these cats in Washington D.C. My interest in this missing yacht is as a writer and as a person who has been there and wished someone would have been looking out for me when I got my tail stuck in a storm in the Gulf of Mexico. When I say storm I mean, Hurricane, Storm, Gale. 90 kt winds, 23 foot waves and no one knew I was in trouble.

The lady Domina story is compelling because there are so many questions. The crew told their relatives this trip would take 15 days. The skipper told other people it would take two months. The crew told relatives the boat was going to the Azores Direct, yet we have communication by the yacht in Puerto Rico. The yacht did not carry an epirb, was missing the mainsail and was reported to be in rough condition.

Good for you to be on the lookout for the vultures. I am not one of them. Our thinking is, let's keep this in front of the yachting community on chance something comes from having every eye watching for clues, on chance a witness who knew the sailors comes forward with information that could solve the mystery. Nothing more, my friend. You can see some of my work by going to the following link: http://sailingsavoirfaire.blogspot.com/
