I think you 'pair' :p haven't ridden any old / old-ish British Bikes in the past .... because both of these have similar qualities & riding pleasure to my old T140e ... which I wish I'd never traded in.

& Seajet .... me-owd-bucket .... I honestly thought I could find something reasonable without having to venture onto our south coast ....  ;)

Bikes are great. But that's a tractor...

Yup; jack it up, take off the back tyre and use it to drive a threshing machine ! :)

95% of all Harleys made are still on the road.... The other 5% made it home...
Why don't Harley riders wave? They don't like to drop their tools...

My memory is of a 1200 Sport, trying to overtake a Tesco truck on the Lower Burnham Road and hitting the rev limiter... at about 4k...

If you've had no luck with the search by early next year, watch this space!

If all goes to plan Erbas will be looking for a new owner by the spring cos we're moving on board and need something a wee bit bigger

Have a look at sverbas.blogspot.com for more info, dig back to beginning of the blog for pics of the interior etc

I can honestly say I don't think you'll find a better twin keel twenty seven footer. But we can't sell until we've bought as I'm living on board when I'm working!

Regards
Bru

Cheers 'Big-Ears' .... "mid-life' ... I wish .... more like 'old-age' mega crisis ... ;)

& anyone who says a Harley Sportster 1200 is an easy ride isn't riding one .... they're hard-work yer-know ....

Bikes? They look like mid-life crisis' to me... :D

(only in jest...)

You're comparing these to a Bonnie? Obviously you never ride around corners! And I'm old enough to have ridden and remember British bikes - that's why I don't have one. Although I'm told the new ones don't leak or have bits falling off...

Strange - I was about to ask - what boats are there - 27 - 31 twin keel - sailing craft ?

Cannot be a huge no - as by the look of Ilfracombe inner there are rows of identical craft !
Not really looking at the moment - but who knows - its better to browse informed than otherwise !

Ketch, cutter or sloop rig. Whenever I see twin over 27 I ask what it is - if I can ?

Venture further down the East coast. There is a yacht fair at Levington this weekend. I just checked the broker's twin keel listing. This Sadler 29 always upsets me as she looks too clean to be true when I pass her on the pontoon. http://www.clarkeandcarter.co.uk/boats-for-sale/1990-sadler-29-5418452
I would be very surprised if she does not sell at very close to her asking price. A couple of Westerleys they list are also worth a look although for myself I would probably look for something a bit newer.

That Sadler is either an amazing bargain or something is wrong with it! It's probably a bargain!

She reminds me of Erbas when we bought her two years ago - a boat owned by keen competent owners who spared little or no expense on her upkeep only to find when the time came to sell that the top price the market would stand for that model and age of boat is many thousands of pounds less than they've spent on her

If we were in the market for a sub thirty foot twin keeler and our budget would run to it, I'd be off to look at that sadler today!

+1 If the OP is a serious buyer not a tyre kicker.

I know of a reasonable Priced Mirage 28 that has been well looked after by a meticulous owner it is in Kent on the Medway (I know further than your looking) owner was looking at just over £6000 its in very good condition lovely boat was dreaming about it but couldn't get funding so in the end went for a project its under priced compared to what other mirages are out there. probably needs more modern chartplotters vhf etc and roller gib if thats your preference.........
