Cheap binoculars been unused in their pouch for a year or two - I thought they would do a turn in the boat (cunning plan was that some guest, wildlife watching, would drop them overboard and offer to replace them - with a decent pair. It's never worked yet but you have to stay hopeful) Unfortunately though, they are allover sticky (not just where greasy/oily hands might have tainted them). The problem here is that this makes them even less likely to be accidentally lost.
So what to do? Talcum powder? Meths? ? ? or Deep six them myself and cash in my only "What-would-you-like-for-Christmas" offer so far ?
