I have a 3yr old Honda Dingy and last year whilst in the Med experienced a problem with the logo badge which is positioned on the front tube boldly reading HoneWave. The problem? It melted and the sticky gluelike substance spread over the tubes. I had to place towels over the tubes in order to use the dingy. I have tried all sorts of cleaning materials to remove the stuff with limited success. Honda marine have taken little interest and have suggested applying soapy water! I understand I am not the only Honda owner to have experieced this problem and out in the Ionian where I am based, these dingies are commonly called sticky Hondas. It would seem they are unable to cope with the temperatures out there.
Has anyone else come accross this problem and do you know how to remove the stick muck.
Thank you.
