I have been following other posts about bedding windows onto Butyl tape, Arbomast or other non setting bedding compounds but my requirements are a little different in that I wish to stick in the windows (wheelhouse front and side windows) using very few screws just to keep it in position until the joint has cured. Are there any tapes that do this or is just Sika 295UV or Polyeurethane sealant etc?

3M VHB tape will stick them in forever without any screws needed - you can then seal with sealant to keep it dry

I redid all the windows on my HT26 this year like this - just masked around the edges, stuck on with VHB (carefully as once it touches it is stuck for good) and then filled around the edge with Dow Corning Sealant and pulled off the masking tape to make a neat edge. Completely water-tight and nice and neat. Any screw holes will always leak one day unless backfilled but this way is easy and avoids having any screws at all.

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply to my post, the stuff you used sounds to be what I need. -I was a little concerned that the adhesive would disolve/chemically attack my windows material. Were your windows polycarbonate or Acrylic?

I used Polycarbonate as its stronger so you can go thinner and hence reduce the chance of thermal expansion - but the VHB tape is good for either poly or acrylic - 3M do several versions of VHB depending on what is being fixed to what but there is a plastics one which details what it works with and GRP, polycarbonate and acrylic are all good - you can even order from 3M online in the UK...
