Sticking Headlining Back On?

I read an article on PBO that said:

1. Use good quality polyolefin foam
2. Use good quality contact adhesive made for foam and vinyl

Technique: Remove old lining, clean both surfaces well, stick new form to vinyl lining, after dry stick to original surface.

Can anyone recommend where I can get a small qty of this form and adhesive relatively easily? I plan on going to the boat tonight and would like to tackle the job this weekend.

Any more tips welcome!

I too have a piece of saggy lining, under the companionway step so I'm ignoring it-

Item 2/ is surely Evo-stic contact adhesive, so easy to source. watch the fumes!

Both glued surfaces to feel completely dry before offering up and you only get one chance.

Agreed on any contact adhesive but for larger areas I have found that propping it all up until its dry doesn't work so well. Instead I now glue Velcro strips to wall and to foam and let them dry completely (usually one weekend to the next). Finally I apply glue to all areas on both sides and let that dry a bit before attaching Velcro to Velcro to keep it neat and in place.

If you are having to prop it up to dry, that's not contact adhesive!!! Contact adhesive bonds on contact..... instantly.

I remember that article. Unfortunately, whilst it spoke about polyolefin foam with great authority, it didn't mention a source or give any idea about how to identify the stuff. I did try looking for it but had no luck with finding anything that was practical and a sensible price.
If you are successful in finding anything do let us know.

If you want some heat/sound/light insulation as well, you can stick up the self adhesive closed cell foam which Hawke House sell. It sticks well to clean surfaces. They make double sided sticky foam, but that would be even more tricky to handle! I put Veltrim van-lining material on top of the closed cell foam. As everybody says -watch the fumes... Wear an organic vapour block mask. (and don't fire up the cooker to make tea halfway through!!)
