I need to do the maintenance on it now and really don't want to buy OEM parts. For those who complain about Volvo or Yanmar costs, this company sets prices on another level of ridiculousness at 5 to 10 times the price of generic parts. So I could do with some help to find alternative sources from anyone who has been on this path before.

Belts oil and filters , will get from motor factors impellers look to see if there is a make on it .

I’m sure I can fine generics. I already did on the fuel pump 85% cheaper. It took a day of my time hunting though. It’s an expensive time/return calculation.

I looked at tractor engines. They appear quite different. Seemingly the tractor division is now part of Case/New Holland. A different company entirely.

Hi do any of the filters have any id numbers you could have a look at say filter services chesterfield and cross check the numbers used them several times and been very helpful. They list filters for Steyr.

A friend has a Steyr in her (baked bean shaped) lifeboat, a 128 people version she is adapting a liveaboard, and was only complaining today about getting heat exchanger anodes for the engine.
